Kim Weaver, Human Resources/EEO Officer

As our Human Resources/EEO Officer, Kim is a wealth of information and a tremendous resource for all of our 350+ employees. We are so lucky to have her on our team!

How long have you been with Palmetto Corp? 

Since August 25, 2015

What is your job title and what are your day to day responsibilities?

Human Resources/EEO Officer. I am responsible for new hire orientation, employee benefits, writing and enforcing company policies, implementing human resources programs and solving performance problems.

What did you do before working at Palmetto Corp?

I worked in the Architectural/Engineering Industry for 12 Years as the Director of Marketing.

What’s your favorite part about your job?

I love working with people, getting to know them and helping them in any way I can.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

When I was a senior in High School, I was the Battalion Commander of my JROTC Class. I almost went into the army.

Who is your hero or someone you look up to?  

My dad. He was a great role model for me growing up and still is today. He worked hard for everything we had. When he lost his job in the coal mines, he went back to school at the age of 40 and got his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Do you have a favorite sports team?

Being from West Virginia you have to love the WVU Mountaineers!

Tell us about your family. 

My husband, Scott and I have been married for almost 17 years. We have three beautiful children that keep us very busy. Jessica – 14, Andrew – 11 and Allison – 8.
