Crushing
The Palmetto Corp crushing division is here to fulfill your crushing and demolition needs. Using state of the art machines, we have the ability to remove and haul concrete and asphalt debris for crushing and turn old material in to new aggregate. We can perform these services at one of our three plants (in Conway, Bishopville, Lugoff or Florence), or we can mobilize our operations and crush on site.
Why Recycle:
Recycled aggregate performs better than comparable virgin aggregate.
Recycled aggregate provides superior compaction and constructability.
Recycled aggregate weighs less than virgin aggregate, which results in reduced material costs, haul costs, and overall project costs for you and your company.
By crushing material on site, you are able to reduce or even eliminate haul off costs and landfill disposal fees and increase job efficiency.
The repeated creation of new asphalt is known to contribute to environmental pollution, so by recycling asphalt we are doing our part to reduce our environmental footprint.
Did you know?
140 million tons of concrete are recycled in the United States each year.
In 2010, the recycling of asphalt pavements and shingles conserved 20.5 million barrels of asphalt binder.
The asphalt industry is the number one recycler in the United states. 56 million tons of recycled asphalt were used in 2009 and 62.1 million tons were used in 2010.
Recycling asphalt saves American taxpayers over $1.5 billion each year by helping local governments save money by not having to use new materials for roads.
